"Note on a Number"

I have forgotten you how many times?
I know the nature of numbers.
Subtraction is multiplying in the modern era.

cucumbers pickling (tasty!).
My palette changed.  I knew, suddenly, that I never loved him.

Three days before the end of the month.
Five days past my period.
I can almost see my hairline in 23 years.

It doesn't scare me.
Those bombs they drop on Iraq are so blurry no one can count them.
The children have recess three times a day.

The quadratic equation of love.

I pulled my new stockings up my "cottage cheese" thighs.
Sheek, sheer, tweek, twirl.
Unsuitable men ask for my number on the same day (three).

I decided to abandon the parenthetical remark.
I decided to try a size 10.

He was too old for me, we saw.
He was too 25 for me, he reluctantly admitted.
28 was a better fit.		                           Plus 99,972 deceased.
