But glad you saw what I was talking about.
I was also put off by the fact the many of the "don't" examples shown weren't necessarily women over 40. Also most of the same examples weren't current photos. The presumption is insulting. As if to say,"....hey ladies, we KNOW you want to put on those ripped jeans, mini-skirts and bright red lipstick--but just don't go there!" So patronizing.
There's tons of old ass, hairy dudes wearing sloppy clothes from fashion eras gone by, with questionable hygiene--yet no one calls them on it. But these "fashion folk" think it's perfectly acceptable to dredge up ancient fashion photos (of women under 40) and say,"....hey ladies, you're too old to pull this off, no one wants to look at your old ass--cover yourself up." :eyes:
:wtf:
The blanket presumption that no woman over 40 can pull off an "over the knee" skirt or dress is ridiculous, in my opinion. Who are they to say it's "inappropriate based on age"? Because only women under 40 have societal permission to "show their knees"?
When are they going to call out the dudes over 40 that jog without athletic supporters, in those itty, bitty, loose polyster/lycra, boxer style shorts. :scared: As if anyone wants to see that.....talk about a visual assault. :(
