Misogynist of the week award goes to....
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 04:40 AM by bliss_eternal
Samuel Jackson.

:toast::party:

Excerpt:

Q: Were you familiar with Neil LaBute’s work before you signed on and how was your experience with him as a director?

SAMUEL L. JACKSON: Yeah, I’m familiar with his work. I know his plays more than I knew his movies.

Q: He usually has some pretty misogynistic characters?

SAMUEL L. JACKSON: Misogynist to you? Okay guy to me. Guy I might like to hang out with. Misogynist to you. One of my boys, you know?

Nice, Sam.
Thanks for that. So good to know where you stand on men who hate women. Walk with your head held high, man. Why should you be any different than any of the rest of the dudes...:eyes:

And then this lovely bit, Sam's disappointment over the lack of boobage in the film.

According to ShowBizSpy, Samuel L. Jackson is annoyed about a stripper scene in his new film Lakeview Terrace because the girls were not allowed to get naked. In the film, Jackson plays tightly wound LAPD officer Abel Turner in gritty thriller where sex and violence had to be kept to a minimum in order to achieve a PG rating.

“There is a big scene in this movie that is really great. It is a bachelor party, and we have three strippers at the party. But it is a PG movie, so there aren’t any titties,” explains the Snake fighter. “We have three strippers at the party, and none of them have their top off. How does that work? I’m like, come on! You could show the girl from the back, with her back bare. At least it gives a sense that she was naked. You can’t just show them in their bras and panties. You have forty drunken cops in a house with three strippers? And nobody is naked? I don’t f***ing think so!”

1. Sounds clueless
To him, it's all part of a day in the life. No reason to think it through.

To guys like him, That "misogynist" word is just us bitches bitching, probably old, ugly and jealous. Since he personally would have no desire to fuck us, our value is exactly nothing, our lives small and meaningless. If by some miracle, we appear fuckable, why we're a challenge, and we secretly "want it".
Typical dumbass.

Sounds arrogant, he thinks a "PG" movie needs skin he personally approves of. What I want to know is why a PG movie has strippers in the first place. Early indoctrination?

3. Unfortunatly, Mr. Clueless has a daughter.
Which makes me profoundly sad for her. I can't bring myself to consider how I feel about the fact that he's married, and has been for many years AND.....this wife supported him for years while he was drug addicted.

But yeah--misogynists are his friends. :eyes:

Arrogance is definitely a factor. Successful male actors seem to have so many entitlement issues. The higher the box office of their films--the younger, the prettier, the more naked the women in their films are. They've "earned" this you see. The second you see a dude in a film with a stripper bar, and naked chicks--he's a fuckin' star.

2. Contemplate that
then review the events of the primary, then contemplate the above some more, then weep for our party and country.

It doesn't have to be this way. It just doesn't.
