1. I know....
I actually responded to his dumb ass on that thread. Why?

Arrogant judgmental asshole. Typical forced birther.

3. Consider the source
Who is this person? What do they offer? A ridiculous, two-sentence flamebait OP?

Even a mod responds pontifically instead of CALL IT WHAT IT IS.

WHY CAN'T MORE DUers UNDERSTAND that there's a difference between having an OPINION on this and thinking that you can FORCE your opinion on another?

To see the question presented in such an OBVIOUS trolltoid manner and then bounce up to the top of the page and stay there... :smoke:

4. These disingenuous fuckwits get in all the time when it's women's issues
Let one of them ask something stupid like "Isn't there some justification to our invasion of Iraq?" and they'd be all over it. But choice is a different situation, apparently. Oh yeah, people who think you and I should be broodmares are accomodated and indulged. :grr:

5. Disingenuousness that's so OBVIOUS
I used to feel protective as I watched DU jump on some troll droppings and respond as it if was for real. So that's one thing.

And DUers frequently use intentionally button-pushing phrasing in their OPs (that's two)

And THIRDLY-- The fact that these discussions are about what people/men theoretically think about the right to an abortion trivializes the issue and trivializes DU.

Democrats/Progressives have GOT to quit indulging in this bogus twisting in the wind about what each individual would choose for themselves-- AS IF that impacts the general RIGHT OF CHOICE AND RIGHT TO PRIVACY AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH. The discussions ought to be about HOW DO WE PROTECT AND PROMOTE WOMEN'S RIGHTS not "how do we 'frame' abortion to attract more conservatives."

:puke:

..."there's a difference between having an OPINION on this and thinking that you can FORCE your opinion on another."

That's where I draw the line. It's MY CHOICE. It doesn't matter what soemone else would do or whether THEY think it's right or not. None of their beeswax...don't like abortion? Don't have one.

Very simple. That, then, makes "arguments" like yellowjacket's irrelevant - except to paint him/her as a control freak who wants to ram their own beliefs down someone else's throat, or in his case, up their vagina.

Yea. I don't THINK so. At that point, they're meddling in MY business and they need to keep their nose on their face and out of my a**.
