In short:
England dominated the first half completely. Tragically, Michael Owen damaged his right knee in the first couple of minutes but the surprisingly tall Crouch did a good job harassing the Swedish defense. Second half was dominated by Sweden, who better managed to close down the left side where Joe Cole dominated in the first half. Also, Sweden managed to close the distance within the team after stretching it too far in the first half.
34 minutes 1 - 0, Joe Cole sends a spinning volley off the outside of his right foot that went high into the far corner of the net - perhaps the goal of the tournament this far.
49 minutes 1 - 1, Marcus Allbäck mets a corner at the first post and with a angled header equalizes the game.
84 minutes 2 - 1, Steven Gerrard manages a header from the corner of the six-yard box after brilliant pass from Joe Cole.
89 minutes 2 - 2, Henrik Larsson gets his foot on a long throw that somehow passes through the entire english defense.
All in all an entertaining match and more important both England and Sweden advances to the second round.
