Being half English... and growing up in England, I am an England supporter.
You?

4. Holland for me
Van Basten is doing a great job and we've al but qualified for the WC. Germany is the place where we've had our biggest success so things are looking ORANJE :)

5. I'm still behind the US National Team
We shoulda @#$%^& beat Germany in '02... but I digress.

'06 probably won't be our year just yet. A lot of the key players are still very young, and a legitimate world-class striker has yet to reveal himself (though Eddie Johnson looks very, very close). Hopefully, by 2010, some of the young US players will have developed into legitimate stars on the world stage, and the US will be primed for a serious run at the title. :)

6. That Would Be Tough For Me If The US and England...
met in a match that actually meant something. I sometimes forget that the US can be mentioned in the same breath with the traditional football powers.

17. I'm with you.
I'm new to Soccer, so I don't know Who's Who, but I want to root root root for the home team. It probably will be a shame, but it should be a fun ride.

I'd also like to see Ghana get some due. I've been there, and one of my closest friends is Ghanaian. USA and Ghana are both in Group E to start. I hope I get to see a match between them.

7. It should be Serbia and Montenegro, I guess
but I don't really follow them that much any more... the domestic game is a shambles and the national team isn't in much better condition.

9. Wales
Although I come from a rather ambiguous part of the UK. In the Victorian era people sometimes referred to Englishmen, Welshmen and Monmouthshiremen. Henry VIII sort of muddied the water in some people's eyes for my county.

It places me in the happy position of actually (and honestly) having a great warmth and affection for both England and Wales, and can happily cheer on either of them. In all honesty though, I don't know whether I will EVER get the chance to cheer on Wales in the finals of an international tournament!

14. 1/2 English and 1/2 Welsh
I guess I have to say England since the Welsh are better at rugby than football.
