Liverpool's Carragher hails Arsenal..
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been singled out for criticism as it looks as though his side will remain without a trophy since 2005, but Carragher feels the club deserve more respect for their business.

"You look at the money City have spent and Arsenal are still the main challengers to Manchester United," the former England defender said. "Chelsea won the Double last season, and again Arsenal are still the biggest challengers.

"The criticism Arsenal have been getting over the past few years for not winning anything is a bit harsh - you forget the money these other teams have spent compared to Arsenal.

"Arsenal are a magnificent club and the way they go about things, promoting young players, they are a fantastic example to everyone."

1. They HAVE built a good club...
...and, if they ever got a competent manager, the rest of us might be in trouble.

2. Wenger is a competent manager..
In fact, he's the most successful manager in Arsenal's history. The Gunner's current 6 year trophy drought has more to do with not having the transfer kitty to match up with some of the other big clubs than anything else. Sure, his stubborn refusal to properly address Arsenal's problems at the back hasn't helped, but this is the same man who led the invincibles...and after being mocked when he suggested an undefeated EPL season was possible. It's not as if he's morphed into someone else.

Even under budget constraints, Wenger has the club in the CL and in contention for the league every year. How many more trophies would the Gunners have accumulated had he been able to spend like Chelsea, City or even Man U? Arsene Wenger IS Arsenal.

3. Fabregas the hand ball expert

Still upsets me since he has been penalized 3 times for it since the kick in this picture. WE can all agree on one thing....
