...has said that they want to keep silence until deals are finalized, so we'll have less of the "LFC is going after XXX! No, they're about to sign YYY!" chatter from sources within Melwood.

Of course, since everyone knows this summer is "pivotal" for us, it means they think we're desperate to make deals and will try to soak us accordingly. I notice the Villains have turned down a £15m bid for Downing, hoping to get us up to £20m. My suggestion on RAWK: offer them £15.5.

grain of salt....15 has been knocked back- Why not 15 mil and Ngog or a combination of $ and Cole?

unfortunately you are probably correct- I wanted Joe to succeed it is too bad I have heard he didn't get enough sleep because of his daughter and then got injured (fancy that) etc etc- I wish him well at West Ham:)
