Vikes finally get in the win column!
But the sloppiness after building a 24-0 lead would have resulted in a loss against a better team. Not slamming the Saints per se, but they made a lot of boneheaded errors.

Just about everything went right for the Purple today, and the win feels good, but this team still has a long, long way to go to try and compete with the NFL's best teams.

1. Yep,
But instead of having a day where the NORM was sloppy, turnover-ridden football, we only had instances of it. All-in-all, I thought the team played fairly well. And it can only get better. LOL.

MeMo should be the starting running back from here until he gets hurt. He had a great game.

2. If only we could combine Moore's running ability
with Moe's blocking ability. Bingo - the perfect back.

Let's hurry up and get that 5th round pick from Denny for Michael Bennett. I like him, he's a great guy, but he's just not adding any value to the team right now. Maybe trade for a 6th round pick and one of AZ's backup RBs.

3. I wanted them to trade Bennet before the season started.
They were offering draft picks ON draft day this year, but we didn't take the bait. Unfortunately, his value would have been much more at that time than it is now. But I would ship him out too. Later round DP and a backup would be perfect.

I've been saying since 2001 that if you want to use Michael Bennett you have to use him outside the tackles. Throw screen passes, sweeps, pitches, line him up in the slot, whatever. They shoudl use him like Michael Westbrook. ONly problem is, he doesn't have great hands.

4. I think they hesitated during the draft because of Onterrio.
If he hadn't been suspended, a draft-day trade probably would have happened. And you're right, his value would have been a lot higher. Maybe a 4th or even late 3rd rounder.
