1. Here are my picks for the week
Detroit (puleeze)
Jacksonville (hunch)
Indianapolis (not the week for the blind squirrel)
Kansas City (another hunch)
NYGiants (Vikings can't seem to win there - hope I am wrong on this)
New England (Pats get back on track by beating the fish)
Chicago (San Francisco has sucked since Steve Young left)
Denver (they just look good this week)
Carolina (Jets just plain suck)
Atlanta (Favre needs to retire)
Seattle (Shaun Alexander - period)
Washington (momentum after beating Philly)
Pittsburgh (The Stillers are clearly a better team)
Philadelphia (home field)

22. I was a week too early with my Green Bay upset pick
And picking Minnesota games is just flat out demoralizing. I don't get them.

4. I'm afraid to make my picks yet.
What's the status of QBs in Detroit, Tampa, and Pittsburgh? Any definite starters named yet, or will we have to wait until Sunday pre-game?

5. Big Ben is out and
Garcia is listed as questionable, though I'm not sure it matters if Harington or Garcia plays. Simms is listed on the depth chart as the starter, but the final depth does not need to be turned in until the day of game, so that could change, but I doubt it.

6. My picks
I had the hardest time with Arizona/Detroit. DO I care who wins this game, no. Does it matter if Harrington or Garcia starts, no. I really have to pick so I am going with Warner's arm at Ford Field.

Arizona over Detroit (If Navarre starts the Lions will win, but I'm picking Arizona for our purposes)
Jacksonville over Baltimore
Indianapolis over Houston
Kansas City over Buffalo
NY Giants over Minnesota (Even when Manning sucks he is good, man those genes are worth gold)
New England over Miami
Chicago over San Fran
Denver over Oakland (Tough to win in Oakland but this Denver team is very good)
Carolina over NY Jets (The cats either win this one for the lesbian cheerleaders or Bollinger blows it for the Jets, either way Jets lose)
Atlanta over Green Bay
Seattle over St. Louis (I almost went with the upset here, but no)
Washington over Tampa Bay (Simms' last chance will not go well)
Pittsburgh over Cleveland
Dallas over Philadelphia (Philly is crashing and the banishment of TO won't help)

23. 8-5 before Monday Night
What the hell was that crap Giants football. Where did Eli Manning go (4 ints)? I was way off on Buffalo and Detroit. Oh well, win some lose some.
Lets go Dallas.

10. Chicago 6-3
Sounds good!

Of course, much of their record seems to be a combination of an incredibly weak division and a fairly light schedule...but, I'll take it!

As for my picks of the week:

Arizona over Detroit
Jacksonville over Baltimore
Indianapolis over Houston
Kansas City over Buffalo
NYGiants over Minnesota
New England over Miami
Chicago over San Francisco
Denver over Oakland
Carolina over NYJets
Atlanta over Green Bay
Seattle over St. Louis
Washington over Tampa Bay
Cleveland over Pittsburgh
Dallas over Philadelphia

21. You were probably thinking the same thing I was.
Harrington starting for Detroit.
Batch starting for Pittsburgh.

Harrington's had horrible games all year, Batch really struggled against Green Bay. Seemed like reasonable upset picks. Oh well!

11. Alrighty, here I go.
I'll try a few upset picks. Being in 2nd-to-last place, it's the only way I'll be able to gain some ground. That, or go out with a bang!

Arizona @ Detroit
Baltimore @ Jacksonville
Houston @ Indianapolis
Kansas City @ Buffalo
Minnesota @ NYGiants (Not even I am a big enough of a homer to think the Vikes have a chance in this one.)
New England @ Miami
San Francisco @ Chicago
Denver @ Oakland
NYJets @ Carolina
Green Bay @ Atlanta
St Louis @ Seattle
Washington @ Tampa Bay
Cleveland @ Pittsburgh
Dallas @ Philadelphia
