Got a Food Lion? I have a decent deal!
Earlier, in another thread, some folks were talking about cheap hamburger and cooking it to get the fat out. (believe it was lil dreamer) Anyway, figured I would give you a good deal on hamburger so you could put that good tip to use.

If you have a Food Lion in your area, they have 3 lb chubs of ground beef for $4.48. They are usually between $7 and $8. That is a pretty good deal onto itself but then you can go to http://www.foodlion.com/apps/couponsweepstakes/ to download a coupon for $5 off any $10 butcher's brand beef purchase. The chubs are butcher's brand.

When you go to print off the coupon, you can use your printer box to print extra coupons at that time - these coupons are good until mid-September but you can only print it out one time on your computer so that it the time to make extra copies.

Here is how the deal works out:

Buy 3 chubs of 3 lb beef = $13.44 - $5 coupon = $8.44 for 9 lbs of ground beef/or about $.93/lb!!! Not a bad deal. Hope this helps someone.

By the way, a chub is a rounded tube of ground beef - in case you did not know.
