New solar hot water system and new fridge |
|
Last year I replaced my 29 year old solar hot water system with a new (heat exchanger type) one. After a rebate from my utility and using the federal and state tax credits, it cost me about $800. This year I replaced a 20 year old 25 cu ft fridge with a new 23 cu ft (counter depth)one. My electric bills have gone down a total of $50 a month (on the level payment plan) even though the kw rate has gone up! I'm a believer now. This week I'm getting my heating and a.c. ducts tested (with a $75 rebate)!!
