The obligatory "What to do with those tiny soap slivers" posting
I was googling for something else and this page turned up. They cover what to do with soap slivers as well as other things we toss like coffee grounds, net produce bags and wire hangers. I learned some new things.

Since About.com has lots of pop-ups windows, here's a plug for the Firefox browser that wouldn't let them open.

Anyhow, I didn't think coffee grounds were good for the garden. But apparently they are and worms like them. I wonder if they get a caffeine buzz?

Bar soap rubbed on drawer glides can make a sticky drawer open more smoothly.

And here's a wire hanger tip I'm going to use for my husband's work shed - Make a paper towel holder by cutting the center out of the bottom of a hanger and inserting the ends into a roll of paper towels.

1. Great find eleny!
Love that site anyway but I haven't had a chance to explore it fully.
Did you know coffee grounds can be used on your cellulite? It is the main ingredient in many otc topical treatments and it can tighten the skin a little; many models use it.

2. There is another use for Koolaid as well...
You can use Koolaid to clean your toilet and it works great. Lots of people do this and you can really get a great deal on Koolaid at times. A few years ago I got free Koolaid and I still have packets to this very day.

3. I actually use bar soap to clean my leather furniture. I searched
google and that came up. I think it works really well with no oily, slimy residual.

4. What to do with soap slivers?
Well, I don't usually have much in the way of soap slivers - I make most of my own soap from scratch and use it all the way up! But when I do have tiny bits, I grate them with a box grater, put into a little ovenproof glass dish (1/2 c or so), add just a tiny bit of warm water, stir the stuff together 'til it makes a soft paste, pack it down, and pop it in the freezer. Next day I take a knife and pop the frozen soap shape out. Set it on a dish to dry for a few days, and voila! Another little bar of soap.
