My mom taught me this and my kids and I still do this regularly - extra frugal if you have a lemon tree like we do!
1. Cut the lemon in half; juice half the lemon and put the tea kettle on
2. Pour the strained juice in the bathroom sink, pour some salt in and let sit for a bit
3. Cut the juiced half of the lemon in half; use one half to rub under the faucets and shower head, if you have hard water this will keep mineral deposits from forming.
4. Use the other half to rub under the toilet rim, this will keep the minerals from building up and you won't have to scrub them off
5. Now the water is boiling, carefully pour this into the bathroom sink, the boiling water and lemon once a week will keep it from getting clogged up.
6. Now slice up the other half of the lemon, put in a microwave safe dish with 2 cups of water, cook on high uncovered for 5 minutes and then let sit 3 more minutes
7. After the steam builds up remove the dish and wipe out the microwave, any splattered food will come right off and it will deodorize it too.
8. Dip a rag in the warm lemon water from the microwave to wipe down appliances, ceramic tile and the inside of the fridge. The warm water will take off the cold spilled stuff easily and cut through any grease.
9. Put the cooked lemons in the garbage disposal, run the disposal with cold water for 1 minute to deodorize
10. Pour remaining lemon water in the toilet, swish with a brush to clean
