Would you buy reusable hygiene products if they were available?

I'm talking handkerchiefs and used hanky holders, a cloth alternative to paper towels (again, with a used receptacle), perhaps feminine products. As well as custom kitchen linens etc.

I sew well, and am trying to parlay that into a business I can do from home.

I'd start with that.
A friend of mine has done quite well sewing custom pet clothes from home.

7. Diapers work a treat!!

I used those as paper towels when I lived in a country where they cost the earth. Plain old cloth diapers, get a ton of 'em, and wash 'em when the bucket gets full!

3. There are pros and cons of those

I saw some on the Hillbilly Wife site, and some of them didn't look quite thick enough for those who suffer from heavy menustration, but a combination of using those and disposables would work, I believe. Have to figure how to patch em on without a safety pin though.

6. Use toliet paper

If you use some folded TP over a disposable sanitary napkin it soaks most of it up and lets you use the same napkin for a lot longer...you just have to replace the TP.

Trying to begin using cloth stuff for other uses. Will NEVER use them for feminine products if I can at all help it!

8. Cloth napkins...

I picked up a small stash of linen dinner napkins at a garage sale years ago, and since then my stash has grown and grown and grown, thanks to a MIL who loves garage sales.

I use them as bibs, as paper towels, and as napkins. We use almost no paper products in our kitchen at all.

although that shouldn't keep you from persuing that particular item. It'll just give you an idea of what is out there.

There's no good word that comes readily to mind for cleaning things other than hygiene.... Sometimes I hate english.
