Ultimately, censorship is wrong but freedom without responsibility can be a disaster. And if you have to hurt someone to make a point, how righteous is that point anyways??
You are very very right and many could learn from those few words. With freedom comes responsibility, not only for one's actions and words, but also responsibility towards one another. And responsibility to maintaining freedom. It can be accomplished many ways, sometimes (from looking upon history) violence was finally resorted to. But in the Quran, Allah (swt) gave specifics and rules of conduct if and when fighting back was imminent. Again, many Muslims I fear do not even know about the life of Muhammad (pbuh) and those who do, some do not look further than the surface and have not learned from the nuances and his conduct as to the real meaning of his life and how it pertains to Islam. If the MSM had bothered to look into and research what they were so quickly to portray in cartoons, and if they had researched in depth what they were reporting, like the media used to to in the old days, this would have never happened. Yes, the news will always have reports that bend towards a certain group or belief, but there used to at least be some respect and certainly indepth research into the subject in question. What the news and reporters have become is a disgrace to their profession. (and I think I went off topic into another one entirely.. my apoligies.. LOL)
Peace my friend!
