Looking for work in the Philly metro area.
I'm looking for something either short or long term in the Philly area. I'm a software developer but I'm willing to consider other types of work.

I'm on Monster, Dice, etc. and I've spoken with a number of recruiters. More than once I've had them tell me they're submitting me for a position but it never even gets to the point of getting an interview.

Anyone have any tips or tricks?

2. Why didn't I think of that?
Thanks, I'll check it out. I know I'll have to weed through a lot of scams but there may be something there.

3. Thanks, I already have a few interesting leads.
You have to filter out the spams and scams of course, but there are a number of full and part time opportunities that I never would have been aware of.

4. Thought so!
I've looked occasionally, for a friend here in MD/DC, and I've seen lots of stuff that to my uneducated eye looked promising.

GOOD LUCK!

7. It's only part time
but it's a high hourly rate so maybe it'll be enough.

8. Interesting.
Turns out that the guy who ran the ad, and who I've been corresponding with by email, is a successful and well know businessman in Philly, and he seems to be quite the progressive! He's very interested in sustainable energy among other things.

I'll be interviewing with him. I have to figure out how to connect with him on that level.

and I didn't get either position. :(

I'm getting desperate here.
