Actually, I have two questions.

One. Does anyone here know anything about the Political Management program at George Washington University, specifically the Strategic Public Relations course?..How hard it might be to get into, etc.?

2. Should I be admitted and complete this program I'll be about 62 years of age..Now, admittedly I do LOOK quite a bit younger than I am..at least, I'm told, ten to fifteen years.

Given that, what do you think my chances of getting a job would be?...My goal is work for a Cause, Campaign or some such other thing using my analytic and verbal abilities which are my strongest skills.

If I'm not admitted to this program, I might be able to get into another that's similar...I guess my most important question is...How strong do you think Age Discrimination might be in my case, paricularly in the field I'm interested in?.

Thanking you in advance for WHATEVER experience, guesses, inside knowledge, etc. you can bring!

1. age discrimination is rampant - health costs is one of the reasons
majority of employers want part time workers and have for years - the older you are the harder it is - if this is something you have a passion for - do it without expectation of a job at the end. Find something in this field now and start even if it is entry level.

Doors don't automatically open with a degree like they did unless you are in your 20's

2. Thanks for your feedback....The irony is,
I don't NEED health Insurance from a job as I'm on my spouse's plan.

Apart from walking into an interview wearing a sign saying "Fear not!..I need no health insurance", I'm wondering how I can make that work for me.
