The county of Santa Barbara has two IT positions open see below
If you are interested go to the the web site listed below and apply. This is a high cost of living area but the beaches are still nice this time of year.

Please note that the following positions are open:
Computer Systems Specialist II closes on 9/20/10
Computer Systems Specialist Supervisor closes on 9/27/10
