Job Seakers - SAIC - Jobs in physical security systems/design systems -
From our company's departmental e-mail today-
"We are in the process of hiring about 20 people in DC and 3-5 in other spots like San Diego, Denver, and Louisiana. All of the jobs are for physical security design. We are looking for people with experience in day and night vision cameras, ground radars for intrusion detection, security C2 systems, access control systems, etc. Basically, if it is a system required for a large scale facility like an airport, power plant or major office complex, we are after people that have experience. We’ll have a set of openings for general engineers who can come up to speed under the experienced ones, but that won’t be for a while. Some of the work is available now and the rest is opening in the next 2-3 months as we ramp up.
If you know people who may fit, have them look at our SAIC career site. The job ID numbers of the ones posted so far are below, but if they look for physical security in key word searches they will find them too. There are only a few job reqs, out, but we need multiple people for each one. The “physical security “ and “ security engineer” parts sometimes confuse candidates so as a clarification; this is not IA work and past experience as a bouncer is not applicable. "

This is from a contract that was recently awarded to a different department in the division I'm at, so these openings are real. Go to www.saic.com and look up the "Careers" section.

This looks to be a large project, so I'm posting this to see if there are some fellow DU'ers in those locations that might want to apply for a job at a reliable, mostly ethical company that has pretty decent benefits, even if the pay is only mid-level for industry standards.

PM me if you would like a reference or further information.

Haele
