Let's make Neil Young's new album #1
tell everyone about it. buy a copy.

it will supposedly be available in 2 weeks. you'll supposedly be able to download it any day now. if this hits #1 the media will be caught with their pants down.

let's just hope they're better at counting record sales than they are at counting votes.

but in truth, this album could have a big affect in several ways. it can get people talking more. if sales are high, it will show what is on people's minds, regardless of what the pundits say.

1. Here's an idea...
How about people buy Neil Young's album simply because he freakin' ROCKS?!

:-)

3. I'm sure it will :)
but i haven't heard it yet and the lyrics are enough for me. I don't care if there's any music really. if it has a message I agree with and it's helping get the message out. the good music will be icing on the cake.

Excuse the caps, but I just have to shout it out. He handled that stupid interview superbly.

After 40 years in music, he remains a relevant artist with broad appeal. I can't wait to hear his latest work.

19. DON'T buy it used on Ebay, etc.
Edited on Sun Apr-23-06 06:12 AM by calipendence
Make a point of buying it from someplace where the sale will get recorded and help sales numbers for CDs like these. It might cost you a few more bucks, but it will be a way to send a message to the label companies that you want more stuff like these albums.

I just bought Pink's CD yesterday at Costco for $11.99. A good deal from a blue company for a great CD! How can you do better than that! And I haven't been buying new CD's much at all over the last year or two.

berzerk with joy at the end of the song -- and according to Neil Young on the interview posted online yesterday you can hear it.

21. LYRICS OF LIVING WITH WAR...
I think he's GOT IT -- I, personally, feel haunted by this war and by the fact that life seems to go on just as always for everyone else around me. It is insanity making and it is a relief to hear someone else say this war is in his heart, too.

I've posted only 4 'paragraphs' - you can read the entire song lyrics at his site...

I'm LIVING WITH WAR everyday,
I'm LIVING WITH WAR in my heart everyday,
I'm LIVING WITH WAR right now.

And when the dawn breaks I see my fellow man,
And on the flat-screen we kill and we're killed again,
And when the night falls, I pray for PEACE,
Try to remember PEACE (visiualize).

I join the multitudes,
I reaise my hand in PEACE,
I never bow to the laws of the thought police,
I take a holy vow,
To never kill again,
To never kill again.

<snip>

But when the curtain falls, I pray for PEACE,
Try to remember PEACE (visualize),
In the crowded streets,
In the big hotels,
In the mosques and the doors of the old museum,
I take a holy vow,
To never kill again,
Try to remember PEACE.

24. "try to remember peace"?
neil forgets sometimes himself, as with "let's roll". i want to hear neil say, "i'm sorry, i made a mistake with 'let's roll', i jumped on the bandwagon and got caught up in the pseudo-anti-terrorist bullshit from the media and did some damage to the 9/11 truth movement." neil has a greater responsibility for this war than most. i may have missed it but did he do any antiwar rallies before we invaded?
