Will it benefit the Dems.
I think they should call it a "living wage" and include it with other economic measures aimed at offsetting trickle on economics. We need to also address outsourcing and work on the return of industry to this nation. Corporations need to be held accountable for the harm they do. We also need to support measures benefitting the small businessman over the corporate model. We need to address the needs of the American worker in a manner that supports comparable change in other nations. We need to also deal with illegal immigration in a manner that does not sanction people coming in by breaking the laws. This is our citizenry and we need to get our own house in order before we go galavanting around the world trying to make other nations choices for them.

The problem is much broader then just minimum wage, so the solution should be much broader then just raising minimum wage. It would require some explaining, but if successful it could get a lot of people on board.

Because any one who is working full time deserves a chance to partipate in the American Dream
No one working full time should be living in poverty.
This includes...(fill in with some jobs that pay lousy wages - do not name companies)
