How to talk to a real person, not a machine
You've probably heard about this before, but if, like me, you forgot to bookmark it, here is a website that may help you by-pass being put on hold by those damn machines.

3. What a great idea!
I've long wondered if anyone is collecting data on the decline in customer service quality in light of all the country's 'productivity gains' and outsourcing.

5. I went through this with my phone Co. for the
brazillionth time and at a moment of absolute exasperation I emphatically stated, " I want to talk to a human being!!!" Got one in five seconds. LOL

6. "Just hold" usually works best for me...
Don't say anything, don't punch in any numbers, just sit there and wait. Most places will usually transfer you to an operator after they repeat their menu a couple of times. There is one number that I call alot that just disconnects you if you don't do anything though, and boy is that annoying.
