Here in TX we know about Tom DeLay's "Charity" Foster Children Subdivision...
Now you can, too.
Excerpts:
"According to records provided by the DeLay Foundation for Kids — which the DeLays founded in 1987 as the Delay Foundation — over the past five years, the charity has hosted lavish fundraising activities such as golf outings, hunting trips and Super Bowl shindigs. At these events, the foundation paid for $295-a-night hotel rooms, $255-a-piece spa treatments, and dinners featuring prime rib and bacon-wrapped scallops.
Those fundraising efforts brought in more than $7 million for the foundation from individual and corporate donors such as Citigroup, Merck & Co. Inc. and Pfizer Inc., among dozens of others, according to the foundation's records.
Until 2003, the DeLay Foundation for Kids expended relatively few of the proceeds, giving away about $500,000 to Child Advocates Inc."
"Hyde and Courtney believe Rio Bend cuts off access for its foster children to one of the most statistically likely routes to a permanent home: adoption by their foster parents."
