1. It'll be civil war and it'll be total chaos
But there is no way anybody but the Iraqis can sort it out anymore. I doubt very much whether they are willing to accept a UN mission and given the chaos caused by * the best way is to just leave and kick out all the western companies and corporations as well.

5. Chaos in Iraq.
I think civil war over there is inevitable as fighting and dominating over one another is unfortunately human nature. Once the troops leave the siblings will continue to fight and the rest of the world will just watch and play the blame game.

7. Welcome :)
War is like a wildfire. It doesn't stop until all arguments have been settled, so civil war is inevitable and there's probably going to be some sort of dictatorship after that and some anarchy. That's the problem with starting a war, it is a wildfire which you cannot control and which will continue until there is nothing left to burn...

9. Welcome Smoke26...

:hi:

I think the biggest problem is that the Iraqi people didn't ask for democracy. Democracy is a complex & messy business. Even some countries born of internal revolution have not been able to pull it off.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see enough will of the people in Iraq. Maybe the threat of civil war will be enough motivation. I don't know.

3. Chose '1' but would hope that simultaneous to that order, if not sooner,
funding be set firmly and permanently for comprehensive medical coverage for veterans, including PTSD and other psychological therapies as needed.

That would be an essential and honorable gesture of rescue.

4. Hard to force a democracy to happen, esp force a "pro-anything"
pro-# democracies have to happen, can't force them, because then it is not a democracy. sigh

6. Actually, I prefer what Kerry and Murtha have been saying
To leave Iraqi troops in charge of defending their country, and to
have our troops redeploy to the outskirts as backup only when needed.

12. Its all about turning Iraq into an obedient, oil-supplying colony
It has nothing to do with democracy.

Didn't you know that?
