I'm sure many (most) of us remember Dr. Jeffrey Wigand who was fired and threatened by Brown-Williamson over leaking information about what tobacco companies knew about nicotine and how harmful it was and yet they made it more addicting. He had signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement that forbid him from revealing the information. Companies (and in the case of Mary McCarthy) are technically within their rights to fire someone for releasing information which they are not authorized to release. However, to vilify people that are acting as whistleblowers to uncover illegal, immoral, unethical activities is a crime against the truth.

Mary McCarthy will likely be vilified by the right as a Benedict Arnold, or even an Aldrich Ames (who sold info on CIA agents to the Russians for personal gain). What Mary McCarthy did was to uncover illicit and possibly illegal activities by the US Government and yet she'll be made the criminal.

Disgusting.

2. Absolutely.
But I hope enough people will see the hypocrisy of this, and not vilify this patriot.

Thank you Mary. :patriot:
