Osama's statements on Darfur conflict will gain him some new enemies.

Namely African populations world-wide, Caribbeans etc. Until now, there may have been some mild support for the plight of poorer Arabs and Muslims from these groups, but after Osama's outburst about Darfur he fucked up big time and if he or Al-qaeda was getting some support from some third-world nations this my be his undoing with them. It gets really sticky where there are Muslims of African descent.

1. Darfur is Muslim, just not Arab-aligned

The folks being raped and slaughtered in Darfur by the militias controlled by the vermin government of Sudan are Muslims, unlike the Southerners with whom said vermin government made a separate peace.

Darfur is the site of massive unexploited oil reserves which the Chinese in particular are after, and best estimates are that the traditional way of life of the locals is to be disrupted to clear and expropriate the land without paying royalties, and to provide cheap death camp labor for a nascent oil industry. Sudan's vermin leader is prepared to stick his nose up whoever's ass will protect him from US exploitation and characterization as being terrorist-sympathetic, and deliver to him a piece o' de action in the oil game. Scum attracts scum, and even the worst trash wants in on the globalization profits made on the exploitation and murder of normal people.
