Police Hunt for Murderous Chimps After Fatal Attack
Edited on Mon Apr-24-06 12:00 PM by Caoimhe
FREETOWN, Sierra Leone - Police hunted Monday for chimpanzees that escaped from a Sierra Leone preserve and mauled a group of American and local sightseers, killing one man and injuring four people.

The U.S. Embassy warned Americans against traveling to the Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary, where the chimps escaped before Sunday's attack on a taxicab.

The Sierra Leonean driver died as the chimps ripped his body apart, and three Americans were treated at a hospital for minor injuries, said Oliver Somasa, a top police official. <snip>

Word is they are seeking asylum in the US White House, where murderous chimps are not only welcome, but exalted!

1. The chimps were opposed to the new US embassy being..
built there. The no-bid contract went to Bechtel and the chimps never had a chance at competitive bidding. The chimps claimed they could build it for much less than Bechtel and they would also do a better job.

6. Can you imagine the screams of favoritism
not to mention nepotism if the chimps were given the job by *?

2. This is just one incident - there have been others

People should never travel in open vehicles where there are chimps living free. They can be incredibly aggressive. And they can just tear a person to pieces.

It's just a fact. Chimps and people should not mix it up.

8. Sort of seems like the wildlife are in revolt right now.
Chimps attacking. Bears attacking. Cougars attacking.

I'm just waiting for a Bigfoot attack.

I'm kind of glad I live in the city. The wildnerness is getting too dangerous for humans.

(Personally, I'm on the side of the animals).
