Far as I know there are only two choices on the ballot, and if you aren't going to vote for either of them, you aren't going to vote (well, unless write ins are allowed). Either way, there is no reason to even open this post.

The fact that they are willing to change the R to a D, in order to get elected only makes me more suspicious.
Whatever New Orleans ends up being, will be due to the money it actually gets and how much individual input is allowed..

I doubt that the mayor will have very much to do with it, no matter who wins :(

Voters Shift in New Orleans Mayoral Race

NEW ORLEANS — Mayor Ray Nagin and Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu, beginning a monthlong run-off campaign for New Orleans mayor, will be fighting over the white conservative voters who favored other candidates in the primary.

Nagin, in a complete reversal from four years ago, scored heavily with black voters and was practically abandoned by whites, while Landrieu scored some black voters and did well with French Quarter residents.

Slightly more than half of the overall vote was attributed to black voters, who favored the top two candidates, according to a consulting firm analyzing demographic data for the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority.

We went to the French Quarter Fest last Friday. A rather small crowd but we had a great time. Incredible food and happy feet music. The Alpine Bistro had blackened catfish sandwiches lathered with Crystal Hot Sauce; they know the path straight to my heart. We are going back this next Sunday to "run" in the Bubba Gump 5k race then pig out on Shrimp Pasta and lots of beer. We are aiding the big easy one purchase at a time.
