Fake UNITED93 banner ad on a certain conservative site
It's getting pretty bad. I was checking out a conservative message board to see what the enemy is saying, and amidst all the hilarity, I noticed a banner ad atop the page. It was for the movie "United93." But something wasn't quite right about it. First of all, the site has almost no traffic. "Most Ever Online" stat is 151 out of 568 active members. Which was the tip-off to the fake ad. No ad agy is going to bother with that kind of traffic. I can't C&P the ad here, because it is a protected flash file. But it is pretty funny..."WHEN AMERICA WAS ATTACKED...THEY WERE THE FIRST TO DEFEND...HONOR THEM...UNITED93, In theaters April 28."

HONOR THEM? Is that demand part of the official ad campaign? And is it really something to brag about that after three planes had already hit, that the "first to defend" were forty travelers on a passenger plane?

These particular conservatives are desperate for some validity, any validity. They should stay underground!

1. Honor them by going to this movie? Give us your money.
Honor them by buying the Special Brand Popcorn 93(tm), available at theaters everywhere

2. If they were REAL patriots, they would HONOR them by demanding the TRUTH
about how it happened and WHY it happened.

Republicans never think about honoring others with the truth. They think there is only honor in jingoism.

3. Will they still be happy after they see the movie

Based on hearsay only...I guess it's pretty unflinching in its depiction of an out of touch reaction reaching all the way to our "my pet goat" reading idiot in chief.

4. Thanks
I went to the site to look at the ad, and read some wonderfully enlightened things about the Duke rape case. I know, I should have known better.

5. One could watch the alternative: "Flight 93"
United 93 (Universal Pictures)
www.apple.com/trailers/universal/united93/
www.flight93.net (note the confusing URL)
www.united93movie.com

I think many people are incorrectly refering to this one as "Flight 93".

=======

Here's the real "Flight 93":

Flight 93 (A&E)
www.aetv.com/flight_93/f93_preview.jsp
www.loosechange911.com/flight93.mov

"Flight 93" contains a scene describing how they have trouble finding a plane at the crash site:

"Is there a plane in there?"

"We don't know yet..."

"What do you mean?"

"...we're still looking for it...at first we thought it was in the hole, but there's nothing in there..."

"It must have landed in the woods, we haven't found it yet.."

"We're talking about a 757, here...it's a huge plane..."

"Yea, we know...you can help us look for it if you want..."

6. Well, their defense was to send me a link to NRO online

and a story about John Howard, a total non-sequitur, having nothing to do with anything I posted. And then a comment about what a horrible president Hillary would be.

It's always CLINTON CLINTON CLINTON! But John Howard? They really are running scared! They're just babbling and making shit up now, because they've obviously never read my position on Hillary or John Howard. Mainly because I don't really have an opinion of John Howard...did he help "defend America" aboard United 93?

On edit, perhaps that was just a sig line...I can't tell with that amateurish layout they use. Everything is a big run-on. But so far, all they can do is blame their software for the low membership numbers. But no defense of the fake ad. They want their twelve real members to think they're actually legitimate and getting real advertising! LOL!

7. Well, at least we've given them something to talk about!

Even though I posted a correction re: my sig comment (check the time stamp, kids! I beat you to it!) that's what they've glommed onto now, as if that is the issue. And also, about NRO Online. Despite the fact that that is exactly what the site calls itself in its own banner, somehow that makes me a dumbass. Gives them something to jack off to, I guess. "Ha ha! We got assman!" LOL! Hey, they even invited me to join! How long do you think I'd last before they tombstoned me? One post? LOL!

Issues, kids, issues. Got anything real to discuss? Like trying to dupe your feeble membership with fake movie ads?

9. I went to the official site for the movie.
And I was kinda shocked when I checked the download section where you had the option of downloading....A Flight 93 desktop. :yoiks:

Maybe it's just me but it just feels odd that someone would have a 9/11 desktop image. Especially of one with a plane about to slam into the WTC.
