With the median price of a single family dwelling in the Seattle area now over $380,000, I am unable to meet one of the basic requirements of "middle class" standing and probably never will.

2. I kind of thought the same thing.

Well, I used to consider myself middle class. But, I don't think so anymore. I can not save a dime lately and I am so exhausted from working too much and paying too much, I can't seem to get anywhere. I think I may be lower class and religious at this point.

3. What is the definition of middle class?

4. Yeah this poll is kinda pointless...

...lots of people think they are middle class when they are upper-lower.

And the term "religious" doesn't really differentiate between "churchgoers" and non-organized individuals with strong spiritual convictions, which I suspect is a hefty number of people who can't decide with religion category to pick.

7. You forgot agnostic

Atheist means that god plain does not and cannot exist. I wouldn't go that far; a lot of unlikely things might be true. I could care less about religion, until it starts getting in my face or limiting my rights. The truly religious don't need to go around blathering about Jesus or Allah.

9. It really depends on what you deem wealth

I am an incredibly wealthy person. I have the most wonderful spouse and soulmate anyone could ask for. I am supporting a health non-profit that really stands for what I think this country should do for wellness. I have a spiritual support group around the world. I have had my dearest wishes come true. Every day I thank the One and pray "to be contented and thankful for Thy Bountiful gifts."

This has little or nothing to do with the amount of money I have. :)

I'd say spiritual with my material needs currently satisfied.

Religion is distinct from spirituality and odious in comparision.

Assuming one's basic needs are met, wealth is mostly a state of mind.
