Million for Marriage petition. . .
Once again, the Religious Right is attempting to bully Congress into writing discrimination into the U.S. Constitution via a Federal Marriage Amendment. U.S. Senator "trash the Schiavo marriage" Frist has announced the debate will begin in early June, a likely ploy to attempt to energize the bible thumpers to vote this fall. . .and since the only thing they obsess about are gays and abortion...well, and contraceptives and abstinence and legislating morality based on their favorite televangelista doctrine. . .I'm dragging this old Human Rights Campaign petition that appears to still be gathering signatures to send to Congress.

Please consider signing if you like. . .

1. Done
I am straight but have gay friends who live in terror that their spouses will not inherit or be able to grant dying wishes. It is disgusting that these wingnuts are so intent on the two things Jesus did *not* mention, and not at all paying attention to the things he did.

What a bunch of hypocrites.

3. I'm all for that. . .
and if I was in Massachusetts, I'd sign a petition to revoke their charter right now.
