We really don't have a speedly legal means of putting the brakes on this administration. Its just not there. This talk of nuking Iran makes me physically sick... 3 million innocent civilians could be harmed. I can't believe we are in this situation.

1. You're half right...
they probably foresaw lunatics, given that they were ruled by one at the time.

2. You're certainly right about nukes . . .
. . . but Jefferson was aware the King George III was fruit-loops. There were nutty rulers all over Europe at the time.

I'm hoping that the rules of law that he wrote, which enables state legislatures to initiate impeachment proceedings, will be the brakes that we need. Illinois is a powerful state, and a call for impeachment from there . . . might be the body blow that Chimpy has evaded for so long.

Fasten your seatbelt! :D

3. Well, they may n ot
have foreseen nuclear weapons, but lunatics have been around a lot longer than the United States.

The reason that it is so hard for us to remove Bush is the same reason that it was so hard for them to remove Clinton. And they didn't do it, but he's out now, anyway. And so will Bush be.

Don't worry about it, just get out there and work for your candidate. Oh, and vote.
