6. The last Democrat to represent his seat was Mary Rose Ockar
who is of Lebanese decent. The west side of Cleveland and Lakewood both have many Arabs.

As is suggested elsewhere on this thread, Muslims are demonized among a significant minority in this country, and especially in New York. She had to pander, after all.

On the other hand, her career would not have gone anywhere without the good executives of WalMart or Tyson Chicken.

4. Hate to say it, but that sounds like the tagline of a RW e-spam.
Kind of like "Viet Cong for LBJ," at least in the eyes of a good 30% of this country.

14. Dennis Kucinich does the right thing, regardless of how it affects
his political popularity. He has proven this time and time again. I wish every legislator had his qualities of honesty, integrity, and plain forthright outspokeness.

Dennis is a democratic populist in the Jeffersonian-FDR tradition. It is a crying shame that he does not get the national press exposure and recognition that a statesman of his stature deserves.

DK is America's #1 threat to corporate control of our government.

And the People's best chance at regaining democracy.
