7. He needs to pick up the phone & call US oil industry execs & refineries

Oil producers in MT, WY, and ND are about to stop drilling. They are getting shafted by the refineries. Less than $40 a barrel for sweet crude coming from around here. People are about to turn off their drills. Governors are sorta curious about why drillers in the Middle East, Gulf and other places are getting over $70 a barrel while Colorado refineries are stiffing more local producers.

Some of the oil is high sulfur, but our Farm & Ranch Weekly (alas, not online) reported early this month that the SWEET CRUDE was only getting $32 a barrel. Governors of the three states had a meeting about the disparity. Haven't heard how they fared with the oil men. Not holding my breath.
