However we certainly use our proxy forces s to go to war against democratically elected governments, as in Nicaragua; we have overthrown quite a few Democracies we didn't like Chile for example, we recently attempted to overthrow the government of Venezuala, we are about to go to war with the republic of iran (yes I know it is only a limited democracy, but we are only a limited democracy,) we overturned the government of guatemala, we organized a coup against the Iranian government in order to install our buddy rizah pahlevi, oh the list goes on and on, the democratic government of the congo - we engineered a coup there and assasinated patrice lumumba, the greek military dictatorship of the late 60's early 70's, on and on and on.

When this comes up in conversation you should challenge it, pin down the person about what they mean by 'elected' first, as they may attempt to weasel out by claiming that they meant that his selection as chancellor was legitimate as the NSPD was the largest party. Get them to state that they mean that Adolph Hitler was democratically elected through a direct popular vote.

Then go read The Rise and Fall of the 3rd Reich and pay close attention to what actually happened after the 1932-3 elections. Then consider if in fact Hitler ever formed a legitimate government. He didn't.
