President's rating drops to 24 percent
April 25, 2006

HARTFORD, Conn. --A Hartford Courant/Connecticut poll shows that President Bush's job approval rating has dropped to 24 percent among Connecticut residents.

The poll, released Tuesday, found that there were a number of issues that affected Bush's approval including the continuing war in Iraq, the cleanup from Hurricane Katrina, demands for tougher border enforcement and skyrocketing energy prices.

"Those events cast doubt on the president's ability to govern," Samuel Best, director of the University of Connecticut's Center for Survey Research and Analysis, said Monday.

Twenty-eight percent of Connecticut residents named Iraq the nation's most important problem, with job creation and economic growth a distant second. The telephone poll of 503 state residents was conducted April 17-20 and has a sampling error margin of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

13. Ned Lamont
He is a businessman from Greenwich, CT but is reliably liberal... strongly against the Iraq War, for universal health care & gay marriage, I believe.

6. His ratings may be low
but the major problem is - NO ONE is stopping him from doing what he wants to do. So, he keeps on doing "his thing" and to hell with everyone else.
