The reason I ask is that some things that might deter a terrorist attack are so inexpensive it boggles the mind that the Department of Homeland (In)Security hasn't implemented them. As reported by Democrats at their press conference today, one of these deterants is tamper proof locks on trucks carrying hazardous material. Currently we are using little plastic ties that can be cut with a child's pair of scissors!

Imo, there are only two explanations for such behavior.

Really - doesn't care and the Department of Homeland Security is a sham. If another attack does occur, they'll find a way to use it against us and seize more power; so maybe they are hoping for it.

in security. They can always go around security like they did in NY. Besides, that more money to give to Halliburton in Iraq.

Think of it. One line of thought was that Osama blew his wad on 9-11 and was successful beyond his and his Allah's wildest dreams.

He has not struck in america again because he does not have the resources.

What if the threat, though real, is not as dire as chicken George has been clucking about since 9-11?

I think the * admin helped with the planning. I think there was an understanding with OBL, which still exists today. I think OBL is on the * payroll and receives help in making the tapes which appear at the most appropriate times.
