Holocaust Remembrance, What Happened Can Now Happen in an Instant
Oh, my. We MUST keep our eye on Bush/Iran -

Props to Big Bear John - this is from his Toonsday Thread

It seems likely that Bushco will use an attack on Iran as an October surprise, lots of discussion about this on Thom Hartmann - apparently some military personnel have been told they will be on a mission to Iran in late September...

1. Horribly,
it's just what I'm expecting. Seriously.

He's mad, you know.

Messianic mad, and surrounded by people thicker and crazier than he is. I suspect that's part of what brought out all those retired generals, probably at the behest of those on active duty. They have got to be as scared as I am.

Fuck. Nixon's last days in the White House, when Barry Goldwater himself had to go there and tell him he was on his way out, were at least spent with him getting drunk and talking to portraits of dead Presidents. He tried to rape the Constitution, but he wasn't dedicated to ending the world because God told him to do it.

This dry drunk with no conscience - he's the perfect sociopath - thinks he's God's messenger, and that - more than anything else - scares the life out of me.

And I think it's going to happen soon.

2. I think our military disobeying * is a our best chance --
To be clear, our military will be most likely to disobey if ALL citizens take action against */against any attack on Iran.

And I think our military disobeying * is our best chance...

John Dean (of Nixon era) believes that * will not attack until just before Nov elections. I think that sounds familiar for this immoral idiot.

3. I like Dean
He's the perfect American rehab story, and he's come back in fine fashion. Good for him.

But I don't think Fuckface has that kind of control. See, when he's criticized, he gets rattled, and he goes nuts. That's his less-than-healthy ego and his lack of conscience. It's all personal to him - not that he's not good at his job - it's a personal attack, as he interprets it, and there's not much of that that he can tolerate without snapping.

He's currently surrounded by incompetent toadies, and the CIA has been so politicized by that prick Porter Goss, there's no one to stop him.

It will have to be the military, and when I consider that our country might be subject to a military coup, well, I am ready to die now.

5. I am more depressed at the thought that there won't be a coup...
Harper's Magazine (this month) has an article that contemplates the possibility of an American Coup and most of the people on the panel said that there was virtually no way that any group of military could get the other branches to obey. The article goes on to contemplate whether a coup has already happened -- the industrial-congressional-military complex have been the government for a very long while.

I don't think coup - I think soldier's who refuse to carry out orders is our hope.

Keep passing the open windows - we need people who will be able to explain what has happened to the people still asleep after "it" happens - whatever "it" is...

4. I hate to say it
But I agree, completely.

June 2 is the bomb test, I expect it to all come to a head shortly after that.

I have water and food stored, but I think it will be useless...

If we survive, it's going to be Mad Max city... without Tina Turner and Thunderdome.

6. They Took the FOOTBALL Away From Nixon During His Final Days as Prez
That won't happen now, or wouldn't do much good if it did.
There are no sane people IN this administration to give it to.

Bush thinks he's on a mission from God:

and Cheney thinks he IS God:

8. Oh, you mean how Bush made many believe the absurd
unnecessary brutal attack on Iraq was warranted? Or how he made so many believe, to this day, that Iraq had WMD?
