Something's wrong with our President. Please alert the proper authorities
I've heard that the 25th Amendment might help. And the state legislatures of Vermont, Illinois, and California.

We have to stop this NOW. This man is not in touch with reality. He has his finger on the button.

Something is dreadfully wrong. I really mean it.

1. He is insane.
And worse, a dangerous wounded animal.

Sadly, nobody who is in a position to do so dares take the needed actions.

5. Look at the statute.
He would have to have his cabinet turn against him.

Can you see that happening?

8. Text...
Section 1. In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

Section 2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

Section 3. Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.

Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

So Cheney and half of the cabinet must turn on him.

Honestly, having a piece of space junk crush him dead in the Rose Garden is more likely.

4. The visuals really make it obvious
I once cornered a large rat in my basement. The rat's posturing and body language were exactly the same as the pics of Bush I posted.

6. He'd heard about "the football" - thought that was it & picked it up. ROFL
Edited on Wed Apr-26-06 12:09 AM by autorank

OUR FEARLESS LEADER

 Right "the football" - the "button" - for US Nuclear (New-clee er) weapons.

Some intense Secret Service guy has it in a black valise with it handcuffed to his
wrist...but * thought, wait, I need the football, Nukulur (Nu clue U Rrr) weapons.

"President Bush was seen today sitting in the oval office reviewing the latest polls
from Harris, Pew, Fox, and the Wall Street Journal, all below 25% approval. Bush stood up at his
desk, cleared the papers with two swipes of his arms, and immediately opened the
desk drawer. He grabbed his football and immediately began pressing the strings.
When nothing happened, he began pressing the air valve. His foreign visitors from
Dubai were stunned but his permanent staff looked on with smiles. In a soft voice,
one of them whispered into the Sultan's ear: "He does this all the time when he's upset.
usually when he sees the latest polls or Anne Coulter refuses to come to the White
House. He thinks he starting a nuclear war. Seriously. It's nothing."

In other news...

9. I've seen him look way worse.
Something's BEEN wrong with him for a long-ass time. (It's called being a dimwitted jerk with a greatly overinflated sense of importance. And probably still an active alcoholic.)

12. Perhaps he's looked worse, no argument there
And no doubt, his affliction is lifelong:

But more people are catching on. I'm sure of that.

OMFG, are we actually supposed to believe he is talking to people on a farm!!!!! Those pics are so obviously fake, just look at the glare on the second one! Just another insult to our intelligence to add to the ever-growing list.

13. Who Bush is
I'm a geek, always have been one. So I pretty much didn't buy into the whole "want to have a beer with him" thing. In fact, he reminds me of the types of kids who made school life hell (I did kind of deserve it - was kind of an asshole although it took 30 years to figure that out). Regardless, Bush just seems like a school bully to me. One with all his friends around him to protect him.

So now we see Bush surrounding himself with people who wouldn't ever disagree with him. We see him act as if he's God's gift to mankind. We see him hide behind people and made statements like "bring it on" or "No other president will have the courage to do this," referring to nuking Iran. All the while he sits in his bunker, protected by his friends, far away from, say, the Bay Area, which has A BIG FUCKING BULL'S EYE PAINTED ON IT FOR ANY OTHER COUNTRY WITH NUKES TO AIM AT!

I was listening to Randi the other day when the guy who wrote "Bush on the couch" was on and he said Bush has to wrap himself in his own fantasy land where he is a good man, making good decisions, not letting reality intrude in the least. Usually people with this kind of complex face reality at some point and everything comes crashing down. Now, it may be us, the American people, who have to face that reality for him.

Sucks to be us.

17. Don't know if you're a 'geek', but I agree with your take
I also heard Randi interview that "Bush On the Couch" guy. I have no doubt that Bush is completely out of touch with reality. His dead sister plays a big part, no doubt.

20. And the part...
about him never showing any "weakness," like actually giving a f*** about people who are going through hard times (911 victims) all makes a lot of sense. All he saw 9/11 as was a chance to use it for his own twisted agenda (Iraq) and to get people to follow him down his dark hole. Compassionate conservatism my ass.

And yes, I am a geek :)

24. He's worse than usual
I really noticed in yesterday's appearance how slurred he was. How inappropriate the timing and inflection of his speech. How odd the expressions and the gestures. There's some serious brain damage going on here.
