It's horrible for those of us who respect and admire, and yes, LOVE this President, as a leader, and as a man, to watch as people say ugly, despicable, foul things about him, and to get called name after name after name because we support him.

Somebody just said foul things about him on the prayer thread tonight...........and the question comes to mind, "What am I DOING here anyway?"

6. It is not enough for these people to worship as they see fit.

They have to know that everyone else can see them worshipping. Thus, when a court tells them that they can't use the PA system to lead the stadium in prayer before a high school football game they flip out because the government won't let them pray. For people who like to yammer on about how strong their faith is they actually require constant reinforcement -- and they DEMAND reinforcement from the gov't they claim to hate so much. It's all very shallow and insecure. My personal feeling is that much of the "strength" of the religious right comes from their collective fear that their particular brand of Christianity would be on its way out without massive RW gov't support.
