During this morning's final meeting of the House Transportation and Economic Development Appropriations committee, Johnson bushwhacked his fellow legislators and the public by ramming through an amendment crafted by the billboard industry. Johnson's amendment guts the ability of local governments to control billboards, and drives a stake through the wallets of Florida's citizens. Local governments, civic organizations and others had no time to respond to Rep. Johnson's deceit.

"Rep. Johnson's last-ditch effort would enrich the billboard industry - at the expense of the public he is elected to serve," said Penny Wheat, Chair of Citizens for a Scenic Florida. "On behalf of Florida and her citizens, we beg Governor Bush and the Legislature: don't let Rep. Johnson keep Florida ugly for generations to come!!"

I do photo editing for a living.

The lighting on the billboard is not the same as the lighting of the parking lot. Notice how gray and flat the colors are in the lot behind it? Compare the values of the colors in the billboard to the values everywhere else. Look how sharp the shadows are on the wrinkles in the billboard. If this were really outdoors, the billboard would be as flat as everything else - there is too much contrast in the billboard image. In my professional opinion, this was created, not photographed.

Still isn't spelled right.
