Why I approve of Snow replacing McClellan....
1. Now his bribery payments can be folded into his paycheck
2. the govt. saves money it used to spend on secret couriers to drop off the latest talking points to Faux News
3. Eliminates concerns about conflicts of interests....why worry about blurring the line when you can simply erase the line?
4. Snow could possibly be a better liar than McClellan. When he says "ongoing investigation", he'll smile knowingly to the correct camera.
5. er...

that's all I got.

:)

1. I have consulted the Mighty Mighty Oracle Beans
on this weighty matter, and thus am prepared to issue my Totally* Infallible Prophecy about Tony Snow: This honorless propagandist will be torn to shreds by the "press" before the dark clouds of november cover the fruited plains.

* Totally in repubicon-speak means every once in a while

2. Now maybe Scotte's and Jeffie's relationship can be more "open"...
I know they will appreciate being out from under that pressure.

3. What's new?
Let's face it, Tony was a "White House Spokesman" for years at FAUX. The good news for him is now it's "official" and he gets the title. The bad news is that he takes a pay cut and he actually has to answer questions.

This will be genuinely amusing.

4. Another bright side
I prefer the morbid and venal myself, like when I daydream about how high Clarence Thomas's blood pressure might be, or how Antonin Scalia, an overweight chain-smoker in his seventies who dyes his hair might just croak in his leather chair while the Court's in session.

These things cheer me up.

Snow's been treated for prostate cancer. Now, I'm not saying that I hope it wasn't successful.

I'm just adding it to my list of things I like to call "My Cheney Wish List."

That first item, by the way, involves Cheney's heart - or what passes for a heart in that monsters - exploding simultaneously with his head while he's making some kind of insipid speech to some uninformed "true believers" in the heartland - the handpicked ones without an original thought in their heads. Then, after Cheney blows up, God appears and tells them they're next unless they snap out of it and vote Democrat for the rest of their lives.

I'm rambling. It's the caffeine. And the world.

5. Snow is a much easier name to riff on than McClellan.

7. DemThink Tank Center for American Progress put out the talking points
of the Anti-Bush statements by Snow...so it must have been our Dems dream to have Tony there.

I hope it was a wise decision....
