Joe Barton,obviously uncomfortable with the attention to his agenda as leader of the House energy committe.I feel another letter to the editor coming...

- $1.8 billion over eight years for the Clean Coal Power Initiative and other clean power and energy research
- $1.32 billion over ten years for research and development of nuclear technologies that produce hydrogen
- Allows oil and gas exploration development and production in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, but stipulates that leasing shall not commence until at least 22 months after the bill's enactment
- Repeals the Public Utility Holding Company Act, which prohibited companies from outside the power-utility sector from having controlling stakes in utilities

- Requires federal government to purchase alternative-fuel vehicles and to increase energy efficiency in federal buildings

Looks like a sleezball, and IS a sleezball. Dressed in patriotism and honor, but in reality kisses Bush's butt like there's no tomorrow. I've called his office several times and they are not very nice, then they send me some dumb-ass worthless form letter that just restates their foul Repug garbage.

congress for votes to protect the environment. Scores them on a scale of 0-100. Joe scored a -12!!!
