Randi thinks the press briefings will be closed from the public
from now on.

And I agree with her.

I caught Brit Hume this morning questioning the practice of having live tv cameras in the room during the briefing. Didn't think much of it then.

But now with Randi talking about it - it makes perfect sense.

They tried to limit viewership of these briefings in the past by constantly changing the time, IMHO.

1. It's scary. I hope she's wrong but I'v learned she doesn't
put her full weight behind a prediction unless she truly believes it.

5. The thought is that the reporters play up to the camera instead of
asking simple questions.

3. Given the amount of info we get from a "press briefing," would it
really make any difference if they were open or closed?

7. Yes absolutely
Because the American people can tell when the press secreteary is lieing or stonewalling.

Just think about no footage of "ongoing investigation...ongoing investigation...ongoing investigation...."

8. They're beginning to realize that Democracy isn't all its cracked up to be
taking the power out of the hands of the people by keeping them in the dark is not a policy conducive to the intent of the founders of the United States republic.

Who's brand of democracy are we spreading again?

9. I don't think they can do this!
They may want to, but I don't think people would stand for that.

12. Maybe they're planning on classifying them, too.
That'd be consistent with their track record.
