Which means, that you believe in its existence as a country; which means that you have to accept that they "won" this country from the Indians in order to establish laws of the very sovereign government from which you are now asking to be a citizen.

Of course, your sign would be very relevant if you decided to go in cahoots with the American Indians and overthrow this country. In that case, you could become citizens of your own newly established nation.
