What is all the hatred towards Raw Story?

It seems there are two distinct camps here--one for and one against?
However, it is also a news source isn't it?
Don't we need more progressive news sources? Why is it this one draws a lot of anger?

2. It does? I honestly haven't seen a lot of anti-Raw Story bias here...

the only critique I've seen is the tendency of Raw Story to rush a headline to the Web site without a story to back it, in the style of Drudge. But I don't think that's a really heavy critcism, just a pesky annoyance.

7. It takes other people's work, posts teasers, and then...

you have to click through it to get to the REAL story. Always been a complaint of mine; always will be, as long as they do this.

I've said it before and I'll say it for the final time. I don't like Drudge's practices, and I won't defend a leftist who aspires to be the "Drudge of the left."

Edit to add: I don't "hate" Raw Story, because I don't emotionally invest myself in such nonsense. I do, however, find their reporting practices unethical at times.

Raw Story is my main source for news during the work day. DU is blocked-I think because of the profanity.

Raw Story sometimes gets it wrong, sometimes gets it right.

12. I was very turned off by its recent anti-atheist diatribe

-- I'm not religious OR atheist or any other label so I wasn't personally offended, just found it odd that a "progressive" paper would deem it appropriate to make the point that it has the "right" to print whatever it wants no matter how bigoted. I just didn't see the necessity or the VALUE of it. Will it next print some KKK dumbass trash? However, I am not one of the ones you are thinking of because I have never until this moment commented on Raw Story.

13. I personally do not read them, but...

any publicity is good publicity. I absolutely disagree with the article on atheists, but I am sure there will be rebuttals to follow. That is, if they go beyond the Drudge model.
