Since my last visit, he has added an animation honoring Cindy Sheehan, another regarding the 3rd anniversary of the U.S. occupation of Iraq as well as the above linked animation. 15. I will agree that history shows us this time and again.

And the Kennedy quote is a very good example of a peaceful person who understands that sometimes peace isn't possible.

I happen to believe... or maybe just hope... that with poll numbers sagging to 32% nationally, they are losing. So much is going wrong, they seem to be collapsing from within.

Of course, this may be wishful thinking through rose-colored glasses.

These boards are probably monitored closely. Obviously the freepers quote and misquote us night and day. But also I am sure that people within the government (Homeland Security and the like) also monitor this site. There have been stories told since I joined DU about people getting emails or even a visit to their home (this happened to a friend who introduced me to DU) from "the government. If they were taking pictures of my car with a "Kerry" sticker at a Democratic rally in February of 2004 (I've told the story many times here on DU,) then they are certainly monitoring this site. I also don't think we should necessary censor ourselves. Just be careful in how we say things.

....with the being careful part. And I'm convinced that this site is being looked at by certain 'elements'.
I'm hoping for the same thing - polls this low, collapsing from within - but I also keep in mind, if they are good at one thing, it is cheating. They have done it twice and gotten away with it - why would they stop now?
