23. I think he jumped the shark at Good Morning Vietnam.
I can't put my finger on it, but I haven't cared for him since then.

25. I've Never Liked His Work, But Watch Tonight's Interview
I've always found him to be far too precious and annoying. Tonight I actually laughed out loud. If *I* enjoyed it, maybe you might as well. Trust me, I was completely surprised.

I can't believe I'm pimping for the Human Bath-Mat, but there it is.

I *called people* to tell them I laughed at the interview. THAT'S how shocked I was!

29. I was asleep on the couch
And I awoke out of my sleep laughing out loud-- I guess my brain was still tuned in to Jon Stewart. So, I sat up and listened and could not believe how funny Robin Williams was.

That was a good rif on jr's poll numbers by Dave Gorman.

And Jon's view on condi seem to match mine.

More than an hour at a time might make one crazy though.

wouldn't it be interesting to talk to the guy about various things? He was classically trained, and he probably knows a lot about many things.

He's brilliant.

20. Ommm...
Ommm... I agree! I adore him! So bright, so aware. There was an article in the USA Today today about him. He gives of himself all the time to the causes he's passionate about, but he doesn't try to sell anyone on them. In fact, per the director of the movie that's being touted, he will not talk about them. He just walks the walk.

22. I don't know how many people know this. Robin and Christopher Reeves
were roommates in college and remained very close friends. When Reeves had his disasterous accident, Williams promised Dana and Chris that they would never have to worry about the medical bills. Crying here remembering that. He is not only brilliant but has a heart of gold.

34. I'm with you about Robin. Couldn't see this one but remember him from
one a long time ago... watching the way his mind worked so quickly and in various directions at once was truly an amazing thing of beauty.

He's definately one of my absolute favorite comedians and actors of all time. (DH & I bought and have watched "What Dreams May Come" many times... we don't normamlly like the same movies so this is rather notable for us. ;))

I would love to spend a day just talking with him. I've known a few comedians and actors over the years and when they're not "on" they're usually an intellectual pleasure to be around... I tend to think he's much the same when he's not "on". B-)

If there's a clip of him somewhere on the web I may go watch it if it's at all possible with our very pokey dial-up. :)

31. Anybody who hasn't seen his 'live on broadway' show
..from 2004, get it. I've about 50-60 stand up shows and its the funniest. I've watched it about 7-8 times and people who've watched it with me cannot believe how good he is. Frighteningly talented and absolutely hilarious.

Edited on Fri Apr-28-06 08:31 AM by WePurrsevere
humor like the Three Stooges or when a comedian always needs to very liberally sprinkle cuss words through their act (like Andrew Dice Clay, etc). The type of comedians I love and truly enjoy are Bill Cosby, Whoppie, Billy Crystal and of course Robin Williams. B-)

Others I know love the 3 Stooges and such. I figure that it's just different strokes for different folks. :D

edited for more clarity... I hope :hangover: )

He was fun to watch in movies and rather sexy in a cute way. ;)

(Of course to me humor is one of the things that has always attracted me to men I've been involved with. I knew DH was a keeper when he made me laugh a lot. :) )

42. I turned off my computer
before I saw Robin Williams last night on The Daily Show..so I wanted to come here and see if everyone else Enjoyed it like I did.

Yep! I started telling a friend over the phone today about Jon Stewart's last night and she said.."I saw it!" She thought it was one of the best she's ever seen.

Robin had Jon Cracking Up and Jon goes.."you're having a lot of fun with this" and Robin says, "it's good to be on a show where you can actually talk about this stuff." :D

"THE DECIDER!"

Williams goes.."he's the president(sic) and he makes decisions!".
