1. I saw the show when broadcast

does he really believe himself? The comment about hitting the wife went over real well too. I liked when Colbert asked him if he served in Vietnam and he said he was to young, he was 19 and his draft number did not come up before the draft was stopped. Colbert asked if he volunteered and he said no. Chickenhawk at its finest.

This show was a keeper.

Colbert asked him direct questions about Project for new American Century and how well their plans were going. Named all the major signatories, Perle, Feith, Cheney , Wolfowitz, Rummy, etc.

Probably the most info ever broadcast on MSM about PNAC.

Kristol kind of blabbered most of the time and implied Rummies PNAC participation was merely to sign one or two letters.

Colbert NAILED HIM on the chicken hawk thing.

I think nuking Iran was mentioned, also.

Kristol was nervous from the very start and Colbert maneuvered a bit, set him up and went for the kill shot. Priceless.

6. Definitely. Colbert took the gloves off and hit him hard.

Nobody ever takes apart Bill Kristol because he masks his far right wing views with a friendly, softspoken demeanor. Colbert just leveled him. This is what we need to see more of. I hate when these right wingers come on The Daily Show and Jon just tickles them under the chin. Don't let conservatives try to score cool points off these shows anymore. Take 'em apart!

10. I used to think that Colbert's "over-the-top" schtick was too much but

this just put Billy (and those with his mentality) in his place. Made him look like a fool!

11. Last night, the Young Turks discussed his brilliance as an interviewer

and what a pathetic commentary on our media that Comedy Central is the best source for political news on TV today.

On "The Report," RW guests think they've been invited to partake in a huge feast. While they're busy salting, peppering, and buttering their food, the host is already picking the bones clean. Before they've even poised their utensils for the first course, they still haven't looked up to noticed that the meal is over - and they were the dessert!

Or it's like they come prepared with sunglasses to look directly into a blinding eclipse - one that will enlighten the audience to the true darkside of these guests.

Any way you cut it (or look at it), Colbert's interviews are beyond awesome!
